1994년부터 영국의 대학평가기관 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)가 매년마다 시행하는 대학의 평가표로, 전 세계의 상위권 대학들의 랭킹을 매겨서 발표하고 있습니다. 다들 하버드대학교, 예일대학교 등의 최상위 대학교들에 대해서는 알고 있을 것이라 생각하지만, 그 외에는 어떤 대학들이 최상위권을 이루고 있는지, 우리나라의 최고 대학교인 서울대학교는 몇 위에 있을지도 한번 알아보겠습니다.
세계 주요 대학 랭킹 순위 1위부터 25위까지의 대학들은?
대부분 하버드대학교가 세계 최고의 대학교라고 알고 있지만, 최근 통계에 따르면 다른 것같습니다. 이러한 통계자료들은 학교의 자본금, 교수진들의 논문, 과학연구 및 결과에 따른 자료들 등을 토대로 순위를 매기는 것이라고 알고 있습니다. 물론 이 순위는 조사기관에 따라서 다르므로, 참고하시고 보시길 바라겠습니다.

눈에 띄는 점은 아시아권의 대학중에서는 싱가포르의 난양공대와 싱가포르대학교가 프린스턴대학교나 코넬대학교같은 아이비리그 대학교들보다 높은 순위를 가졌다는 점과 전에 더 높았던 칭화대학교가 뒤로 밀렸다는 점 등이 눈에 띄네요. 생각보다 의외의 대학들이 눈에 띄는 것같습니다. 개인적으로는 전에 알던 친구가 다니던 영국의 에딘버그대학교나 존스 홉킨스대학교도 보여 기쁜 마음이 생깁니다.
